Description: 15-year-old country girl Suzume Yosano has to move to Tokyo to live with her uncle due to her father's transfer. She bumps into a mysterious man who ends up taking her to her uncle's place after she gets lost. Turns out, Suzume will be seeing him a lot more often once she starts school because...he's actually her homeroom teacher?!
The series itself is a story about Suzume Yosano and her adapting to her new life in the city. Within the story is a love triangle between Suzume, Satsuki Shishio, and Daiki Mamura. Shishio is Suzume's homeroom teacher, whom she develops a crush upon but knows that her fantasies will never be fulfilled due to their student-teacher relationship. Mamura is one of Suzume's classmates, who grew up in a motherless family because of a divorce and has come to dislike women in general, but to the point where he ended up becoming uncomfortable around them due to a lack of interaction and therefore blushes very easily. In the end, Suzume has to face the decision of which one she truly loves.
Main Characters: Suzume Yosano: The protagonist of the series. She moved out of the countryside to stay with her uncle in Tokyo due to her father's work.
Satsuki Shishio: Suzume's high school homeroom teacher. He is also her first love.
Daiki Mamura: The first male friend Suzume made when she came to Tokyo, as well as her classmate. He is also Suzume's second love.
Yuyuka Nekota: The first female friend Suzume made when she came to Tokyo, as well as her classmate. Suzume often comes to her for relationship advice.

Rating: The manga is considered to be "shōjo," an age demographic used in Japan for girls around the middle school age. Shōjo manga, including this manga, do not contain material considered unsuitable by the publishing company for this age group.
Violence: Low: "Cat fight" between Suzume and Yuyuka Nekota within chapter 5.
Multiple instances of Shishio and Mamura threatening one another, though the most physical it gets is holding each others' tie.
A mildly violent scene between Shishio and Yukichi Kumamoto in chapter 75.
A flying kick is used to attack some delinquents who were threatening one of the characters within Inside Sarumaru's Head.
Language: Low: However, the word "bastard" is used a few times within the current released English translation.
The s-word is also used several times within Inside Sarumaru's Head, far more frequently than the rest of the series.
Sexual Themes and Nudity: Low: Sexual thoughts are briefly mentioned once in chapter 64.
One character, Yukichi, mentions that people have thought he is gay.
A character within the included one-shot More than Words is mentioned as actually being gay, with the rest of the one-shot revolving around the other characters' thoughts about that.
Drugs and Alcohol: Low: Shishio and Tsubomi Kashima are both able to be seen smoking.
Yukichi runs a café that has been known to serve alcohol, and can be seen being drunk by both Shishio and Tsubomi.
Tsubomi is shown drunk in a scene depicting how she and Shishio met.
